Talk Turns Focus from Local Issues |
|
To the editor:
|
| All the war rhetoric which is highly political is becoming
quite tiresome. However tiresome it is, war is serious and
results in the deaths of thousands and thousands of people
and affects the lives of even more. |
| President Bush should concentrate on the war on terrorism
instead of shifting focus to avenge attempts on his father's
life or to divert questions about their possible collusion
with questionable business practioners. |
| What we need at this moment in history is a somber look
at the rising poverty as well as the economic gloom that we
are living in. |
| Only if we focus on locally relevant issues, and provide
for every person adequate food and shelter, can we better
our individual societies. The ripple effect will follow. |
