Children Learn Meaning of Ramadan
To the editor:
The students at the Al Fatih Academy in Herndon wrote this letter:
During the month of Ramadan we Muslim children all over the world are practicing to be better people?
Every day we try to fast and try to have more sabr, the Arabic word for patience. We also try to be peaceful by respecting others. We also try to practice being more thankful for everything that we have and not wasting extra things.
In the month of Ramadan we try to practice these things because we want to help make a peaceful world.
Students at Al Fatih Academy
Afeefa Syeed, Co-Director
