Skate Park is Needed, Should be Cheap
To the editor:
I am a 15-year-old boy and I enjoy Rollerblading. The problem is my friends and I have nowhere to skate beacause there are "No Skating" signs posted at this garage or that building.
Anyway, we need a skate park to give us something to do, and it doesn't cost that much to build. In fact, the one in Leesburg cost about a $75,000 to build and they built it on a old tennis court that wasn't being used anymore.
There are enough tennis courts in this town that are not being used to provide a good location for a skate park. And besides, if people want to build a park for dogs, then they should build something for the kids because we are more important.
